A Sassy Tale
le 5 avril 2014
I enjoyed reading The Supremes at Eal's All-You-Can-Eat. It's the first book that's made me laugh out loud in a long while. The three main characters Odette, Clarice, and Barbara Jean are touching, sassy, and full of life. The story itself is good but changes first person perspective and jumps from one episode to another far too frequently for my taste. It had the feel of a movie script and not a book. The author Edward Kelsey Moore did a fantastic job writing as black women. I feel he must have been one in another life. Moore is a professional cellist and The Supreme's at Earl's All-You-Can-Eat is his first novel. Not bad and it was a lot of fun to read!
