Monté sur un Raspberry pi 3B. Environ 3mm de pad thermique pour combler l'espace entre le processeur et le socle du radiateur, ce qui n'aide pas un refroidissement optimal. Une puce sur 2 de refroidit, les tuyaux cuivre empêchent de coller un simple radiateur sur la 2nd puce. Pas d'effet ressort sur une fixation trop rigide à mon goût. Trop de vibrations également émises par le ventilateur. Déçu de mon achat. Le produit paraît pourtant bon, je pense qu'il n'est simplement pas abouti, dommage.

By a couple degrees I assess not square with the Pi board..

Love it otherwise were there included 2 more heat sink pads. Used 2 on CPU and 3 on RAM, which was short by 1 perhaps 2.

Heat sink doesn't cover RAM, but pipes do. Embedding the pipes into a couple more squares of heat transfer pink material, please.

Full coverage might have brought CPU temperature to 33. Still not ICE cold but if 30 is minimum, script controlled, then 33 should be met. Daughter board set temp 35 would not decrease to set temp; which is scripted to shut off at 33; 2 degrees C lower.

From my OCD point of view the cooler doesn't sit level over the Pi board, by perhaps a few degrees.

RGB fan (not PWM) controlled, blue TX wire (not employed) has a decidedly liberal (blue) prevalence and a 'false global warming (green) bent and a taint of libertarian (red).

Daughter board SPI controller managements fan. Can be set to any temperature as low as 30C.

Fan will not lower temperature below 36 when set to 35.

Otherwise I love it. I've another GEEK pI cooler that sits quite tight upon the CPU, RAM, and a couple more heat producing nearby chips. It does better even with the inverted fan flow.

I really like this design, aside from it being not square. Dual Pipe V12 5mm D copper exhaust that doesn't make a sound 52 DBz at source. Measured heigt under side Pi board to top of fan 38mm

---x3 Again the Geeks R p1$$1ng into the wind with this second rendition. The fan is blowing the rising heat from across the radiator fins downward back again across the radiator fins. No wonder the temperature won't lower below 36C. "Ice Tower" my grey curlies. Ambient air is 27C

Gap between CPU and heatsink base

there is a huge gap between the base of this thing and the thermal tape on the CPU. doesn't even touch. i will probably try and bend some angles into the mounting bracket to put more pressure on this but this thing didn't just go on. i've been messing with it for about an hour now. a lot of people complained about the noise but this thing is pretty quiet even on 5v. maybe i should just give it some time? but i don't get the noise that a lot of people complained about. just fitment issues. on a 3B. didn't try it on the 4.

Doesn't fit the Pi4 B

I had previously bought the chrome and copper version of this and was well happy with it. Thought I'd try the all black version. The brackets have changed, first of all they are thicker and secondly they don't fit. They fit length-wise but as you can see in the photo they don't fit along the width of the Pi4 B. Comparing the brackets, bracket 2 is wider than the equivalent bracket on the chrome and copper version.

Great profile, still to expensive

Much better profile than the vertical model. It does block the camera connection and the price is still to high for the overall quality. This model didn't have fan screws, but instead a retention bar that makes it really hard to replace the fan, which I did. I put a 5v Noctua 40mm x 10mm fan. It is almost silent at 5v. It also has no annoying RGB. So far one star off for the price. I would buy for all my Pi's, but when it is priced at only $12 less than the 3B+,and 4b 1 gb boards, which is 66% the price, I can't justify it.

So pros: I have got my 4b down to 22c at idle and 32c with stress running for 30 minutes. I did use cpu compound vs the supplied terminal pads.
As mentioned, with the Noctua fan it is almost silent.

For the manufacturer, lower the price to something reasonable and I might buy 5 more. But until then I will have to settle on my home brewed fix.
Maybe offer a model without the fan, just screw mounts like on the vertical model.
UPDATE 01/22/2020: The retention bar setup is horrible and i have lowered to 2 stars for that reason. I am running my fan on 3.3v and still do keep it in the 23 to 27c range without load, ran stress for 10 minutes.

Heat pipes were of unequal length and stained with something akin to hard water spots (which did not come off with mild cleaning). Fins were crooked, especially the one nearest the end of heat pipes. Entire unit was not level with the cold plate by a visible amount.

This cooler may have been fully functional, but the crude build quality and lack of attention to detail lead to a return.

Fan already Rattles, worn out

Got this a week ago and the Fan is already rattling. Cheap or no real bearings. Probably a brass or copper sleeve. Did I mention this fan heat sink combo is only a week old and in need of a new fan. The Rpi 4B does run hot and really needs a good fan heat sink combo but one that covers all 4 chips. This won't let you, just the cpu.

I've added two photos, in one I have the heat sink next to the board. In the second, two if the screw-posts were put in and you can clearly see how the two on the other side can't be put in as the holes don't line up. The length is fine, but the width is off. Probably some drilling on the bracket was off? Maybe the holes in the heatsink that the bracket connected two were off-kilter?

These things just don't really fit atop the chips like they're meant to, or even get hot enough to use the heat pipes at all... btw the fan is noisy and wastes power with an LED.
