This is a very complete account of the do's and don'ts of exercise, why we need to get up from the couch and move and what are the latest findings on exercise in general. I am neither young nor an athlete but I did find the book informative and engrossing. Moreover, Gretchen Reynolds' style is informative without being boring and very often personal when she describes her own successes and failures in exercise. Her sense of humor is also present.
I would recommend this book to anyone interested in the subject of sports, athletics and exercise whether he or she actually practices a sport or not.
