4.0 étoiles sur 5 Lightweight, nice chronograph 16 janvier 2012

The T4006.657.37.01 is lightweight titanium. The band has a matte grey coating that I suspect will wear with time, but after a month of use it still looks like new. Only some of the links in the band are removable, so I am unable to get the fight exactly right as I can with other watches. The time functions are excellent. The chronograph works well and feels very precise, although it only tracks 30 minutes. The crystal is clear and resists scratches quite well. The tritium illumination works, but it's not as bright as advertised. For example, a Seiko diving watch will be a lot brighter when it's charged, eventually fading away. Still, the Tracer is bright enough you can see it in the dark when your pupils adjust, but not so bright it distracts you. This model glows blue and orange.
1.0 étoiles sur 5 Is it pretty? Yes 18 janvier 2016

Don't bother. Is it pretty? Yes? Does it look durable? Yes. Does the tritium work? Yes. And that's all I can say that's good about it.

After two years, the second hand literally fell off it's post, not that it mattered; the watch had stopped working by that point. So I sent it in for warranty service with associated shipping costs. You have to use their warranty center to maintain the waterproof warranty, not that it mattered; two years later it stopped working again and had condensation built up on the inside. Plus the warranty center left a smudge on the inside of the face, which I didn't bother to get cleaned since I would have had to send it back to them again. But now I had to send it back since the watch stopped working. This time we were past the warranty period and it cost me over $150 for the service, plus shipping. So now we skip forward to today, and the watch still functions, but the secondhand is off center now it returns to 11:56 instead of to 12:00, and last night, the band fell apart.

I give up. Over $650 for the watch in the first place, plus at least $70 in shipping now, plus the $150+ for the service, I'm out almost $1000 for something that's sitting in pieces in a drawer.
